Experiment a little to find which type of intermittent fasting is right for you. For example, a 20-hour fast may involve eating food between 3pm and 7pm each day.

It’s important to keep in mind that diets high in protein are also capable of feeding cancer. A moderate protein intake is recommended on the ketogenic diet, and the higher-quality the protein, the better. Your diet should emphasize healthy fats, high-quality fatty proteins, and low carbohydrate vegetables.
- Healthy Fats: Avocados, coconut oil, grass-fed butter or ghee, raw seeds and nuts, olive oil, and eggs.
- Low Carbohydrate Vegetables: Cauliflower, cabbage, celery, broccoli, collard greens, Brussels sprouts, and spinach.
- Protein: Grass-fed beef, poultry, fish, eggs.
While these are only a few food options for the keto diet, you should definitely focus on those three food groups.
